IT Solutions › Cloud phone system

The company phone system,
without the PBX.

Extensions anywhere, one company number that rings on desk phones, computers and smartphones, no hardware in the server room. The AtWorkStudio cloud PBX runs on Asterisk, in a European cloud, managed by us. If your company prefers 3CX or lives inside Microsoft 365 with Teams Phone, we design and manage those.

The on-premises PBX has had its day.

A box in the server room, cards to replace, a technician to call for every new extension, and people working from home forwarding the number to their personal mobile. Telephony today is a data stream like any other: SIP lines, extensions anywhere, rules that change in minutes. The PBX becomes a service, and we run the service.

SIP

The standard calls travel on today: lines and extensions are data streams, not phone cables. A cloud PBX speaks SIP natively, with any operator.

1 number

One company number that rings on the desk phone, softphone and smartphone, in the office or working remotely, with the same answering rules, the same hours and the same voicemail.

0 appliances

No PBX to power, update and replace. The platform lives in a European cloud, we maintain it, and the only objects on your premises are the phones, if you want them.

What the service includes

One platform, three routes, a single operator.

We design, activate and manage the phone system. You decide how to answer the phone, we make sure it works.

AtWorkStudio PBX on Asterisk

Our reference platform: open source, in a European cloud, managed by us. SIP extensions, auto-attendant (IVR), queues and ring groups, business hours and holidays, voicemail delivered by email, music on hold, call recording where needed and in compliance with the law.

3CX or Microsoft Teams Phone

When the company already has 3CX or prefers it, or works all day inside Microsoft 365, the phone system can be 3CX in the cloud or Teams Phone with calls to the public network. Same analysis, same design, same management: the engine changes, the way we look after you does not.

Numbers and porting

We port the numbers you have today, activate new geographic numbers and SIP trunks with Italian operators. We handle the porting process and plan the switch so that the old PBX stays on until the very end.

Desk phones, softphones and smartphones

Desk IP phones provisioned remotely, softphones on the computer, an app on the smartphone: the same extension rings everywhere and the company directory is the same. People working from home answer with the company number, not their own.

Voice security

SIP signalling over TLS and SRTP-encrypted audio, strong extension authentication, outbound traffic limits and blocking of high-risk destinations against toll fraud, monitoring of abnormal registration attempts. The PBX sits behind the firewall we manage.

Ongoing operations

Platform updates, configuration backups, monitoring, changes to extensions, IVR and schedules on request, call reports. From the same team that manages the customer’s network, firewall and Microsoft 365: a single point of contact, even when the problem is not the phone system.

How it works

From today’s lines to a cloud phone system.

Four steps, with the old PBX switched on until the moment of the change. Telephony does not stop: it moves.

How you call today

Analysis

Lines, numbers, extensions, opening hours, call flows and volumes. We verify connectivity and the local network for voice.

Platform and rules

Design

We choose the platform together (Asterisk, 3CX or Teams Phone), design IVR, queues, ring groups and schedules, and define the devices.

Porting and phones

Activation

We configure the platform, provision phones and softphones and port the numbers. The old PBX stays on until the switch.

Every day

Operations

Updates, configuration backups, monitoring, changes to extensions and IVR on request, call reports.

Managed service

A service,
not a box.

We do not sell a PBX: we design it, activate it and keep it running. The reference platform is Asterisk because it gives us full control, has no per-extension licences and does not tie the customer to a vendor: the configuration remains theirs. Voice travels over the same network and the same firewall we manage, so traffic priority and security are designed together, not bolted on afterwards.

For companies using Microsoft 365 the phone system integrates with Teams and the company directory, or becomes Teams Phone outright. The service falls under category D5 of the MIMIT Cloud and Cybersecurity Voucher, with a grant of up to 50% of the expenditure.

Asterisk

Open-source engine in development since 1999, behind many commercial PBX products. No per-extension licence, configuration owned by the customer, hardening and updates handled by us.

European cloud

The platform lives on European infrastructure, like the rest of our cloud services, with configuration backups and continuous monitoring.
